Rachel VanderPol founded VP Talent with a belief shaped long before recruiting—through competition, coaching, and connection. A former Division I athlete raised in a family of professional athletes, Rachel learned early the value of discipline, preparation, and long-term vision.

 After college, she built a successful career as a teacher and coach, where she discovered her greatest strength: understanding people—what drives them, challenges them, and positions them to succeed.

When she transitioned into recruiting, she brought that same coaching mindset with her.

Rachel approaches every search with intention and alignment. She partners deeply with companies she believes in, immersing herself in their culture and vision so she can represent them authentically in the market. Candidates are thoughtfully vetted, prepared, and aligned—not pushed through a process.

Known for setting clear expectations and prioritizing fit over volume, Rachel rejects transactional recruiting. She does not force placements or overpromise outcomes. Instead, she focuses on building lasting partnerships that support meaningful, sustainable growth.
